The Face Reveals All
At the end of September this year, I attended the eagerly awaited Face Reading 1 course which was held in South Queensferry, Scotland, and taught by Grand Master Chan with the assistance of Susanna Senior Master Lau. As the name suggests, the course provided insights into the intricacies of a person's face.
To put it simply, and based on my understanding of what was delivered in class, the face is a reflection of an individual's inner workings. An analysis does not only reveal their state of health thereby pinpointing any issues which my arise, but on a much deeper and more subtle level, the face is also a map of a person's consciousness, their inner being or in other words their chi. It portrays a story about the person's life including their strengths, weaknesses and challenges, all moulded and expressed into what one sees in the mirror every morning.
The course material was clear, concise and structured in a manner so as to provide the student with a firm foundation in the subject. The information was very unique and cannot be found in any book, it is the result of the in-depth experience and 60 years of thorough research carried out by Grand Master Chan. This calibre of depth and precision cannot be found elsewhere. Just to give you an idea and so as to demonstrate his years of experience, not to mention proficiency and technique required in being a good face reading master. Grand Master Chan recounted and shared the following story:
"When I was a teenager my teacher/master (Great Grand Master Chue Yen) excused himself and asked me to stay behind and do the face reading for clients. When clients asked questions, I must speak to the point otherwise nobody will trust you!"
The course also provided students the opportunity to engage with a more hands on, practical approach, by "feeling" each other's facial features, thereby enabling them to acquire a true sense and understanding of the information being taught. The words 'meaty nose' are most definitely engraved in my mind now!
One question which arose in class was "in what way could we use this knowledge?". Well, from my point of view and working in the Corporate World, which can at times seem like a hive of deception and deceit, I can certainly see the benefits in acquiring these tools, such as knowing which colleagues to trust, who to avoid and knowing what to look for during the interview process. In actual fact, these skills would be useful for people from all walks of life.
The information imparted by Grand Master Chan constitutes only a fraction of his vast knowledge, however as he is fast approaching 80 years of age and does not want to take all of it with him to his grave, he has kindly taken the time to diligently write all the material down in Chinese and requested Susanna Senior Master Lau to translate it into English, for the purpose of teaching. Such is the gift, among many others, which our Grand Master offers us, so that future generations can benefit from this valuable knowledge.
Thank you Grand Master Chan for sharing with us your teachings and your wisdom.
