Urbanism & Feng Shui Chue Style®
Cities are living organisms. Some thrive. Others slowly decline. Why?
The role of an urban planner is to create environments where communities can grow, connect and thrive within settings that feel alive, purposeful and sustainable. Many cities have achieved this with an impressive instinct for place-making, shaping solid centers, positioning key municipal buildings with clarity of function, supporting movement from major gateways including roads, rail networks, ports or airports, whilst giving thoughtful priority to schools and open civic spaces. They have also learned to work with water in all its forms – rivers, lakes or coastlines – as structuring assets, while weaving meaningful spatial relationships between commercial and residential districts, connected by well-considered networks of parks and public spaces.
When applied to the urban scale, Feng Shui offers a way to understand the unseen forces that influence the evolution of cities and the history embedded within them. Across any territory, some neighbourhoods flourish, attract and reinvent themselves, while others may slow down, hollow out, or enter more complex cycles.
A consultant trained in Feng Shui Chue Style® learns to observe the movement of Chi, identify sensitive nodal points, and understand the energetic interactions that shape how urban areas transform. This approach opens practical pathways for assessing an existing city, guiding regeneration, or contributing insight during the planning stages of new urban development grounded in long-term balance.
In this immersive 3-day course, we step out of the classroom and into real towns to learn how cities truly work — energetically, structurally, and symbolically.
For two full days, we will explore different towns on foot, training the eye to recognise the invisible forces that determine a city’s vitality, prosperity, and long-term success. You will learn how to read urban form, landscape, movement, and orientation to understand why certain places flourish while others struggle.
On the third day, we return to the classroom to translate observation into method. You will learn clear analytical frameworks that allow you to assess any town or city — past, present, or future — with precision and confidence.
This course opens a new level of understanding of how Chi moves through urban environments, how it is supported or blocked, and how these patterns directly influence the fate of residents, businesses, and communities.
The knowledge gained can be immediately applied to Feng Shui consultations, urban analysis, and environmental assessments, offering a deeper, more strategic perspective on place.
A core training for committed Chue Style practitioners ready to deepen their Feng Shui mastery—enhancing consultation accuracy, strategic insight, and confidence by understanding environments at the scale of cities, not just structures.
